Are you the main character in your life or just a spectator?

In this vast stage of life, I gaze upon,

and ponder on the role I truly play.

Am I the main act, or just lost, withdrawn?

A mere spectator, watching day by day?

Do I control my destiny and fate,

and guide my life with purpose and control,

or am I bound, a captive to my state,

a character whose script has been foretold?

I search within, for answers yet untold,

to know if I’m the hero of my tale,

or if I’m but a watcher, as it’s told,

In silent shadows, never to prevail.

But now I recognize, without a doubt,

I am both actor and the author, throughout.
