ON THE EVE OF VALENTINE

ON THE EVE OF VALENTINE

ON THE EVE OF VALENTINE

Since the earlier teen
He had been keen
About celebrations of the days
Like that of Valentine

Reading the stories
The rhymes of lingering effects
He always thought
Of experiencing the same
On a day in his life

Now a middle aged man
Albeit he slightly cherishes
The same yearning
But not so restlessly
As in the olden days.
