Silence

Silence

Silence

Silence screams within me,
threatening to damage my hearing.
Sadness accumulates, battling with everyday life,
while pain reigns in every pore.
And I, I'm fine, proud
and I move on.
Hidden internal turmoil.
Legs, slightly numb from walking.
I walk on the ground,
step under the heavenly vault,
refresh with water
and continue again,
along the uninterrupted path of illusions,
while havoc rumbles in my body.
A wrecked hull packed
in a good shell,
which, only from the outside, shines.
A wrecked ship, a large mass
still, on the surface of life's waves...

Nada - Nadica Cvetković, born entirely by chance in Topola beneath Oplenac. She doesn't remember that at all. She has published two collections of poems: "In My Signature" and "Grain of Love". Currently preparing her third collection of poems: "Name of Hope for Us". Also, many of her poems have been published in joint anthologies in international and domestic competitions. Over the past couple of years, she has been jotting down aphorisms, which will surely come to fruition one day.
Somewhere in between, the manuscript "Silence Screams within Me" has been inserted, which will emerge before both the third collection and the aphorisms.
She lives, works, dreams, and daydreams in Belgrade, scribbling on paper.
