Set my hands right,
don't let me carry them broken.
Straighten out my heart, crumpled and crushed by unrest.
From the cracked chest,
preserve for me the imagination
that plays with wonder.
With restless fingers,
I want to play with the sky in your eyes.
Through my fingers, the sun smudges.
Through my skin, drops of moon leak.
I lift my eyes to the last breath of stars.
I ask them to gather foamy baths.
Through cracked walls, shadows of untold lives dance.
Tiny lives intertwined with sorrow.
Everyday life painted with blood and cartridges of human misery.
Walls adorned with shattered storybooks.
Underneath the rubble, nursery rhymes lament
never counted.
Tell me,
where does humanity disappear?
